Product Description
Huntaway Wild Venison Jerky Treats for Dogs Your dog deserves the best
We want to help make your dog happy and healthy. Our unique Huntaway recipe is produced with wild venison, a novel protein regarded as hypoallergenic.
New Zealand sourced and made
Our Wild Venison raw materials and other ingredients are mostly sourced from New Zealand, where we also produce our Goat Ear Chews, Goat Tripe Treats, and Venison Paddywack Treats.
Sustainable packaging
All of our packaging is sustainable, even the packing tape we use to seal the cartons.
Why should you try Huntaway Venison Jerky Treats?
Our hypoallergenic and natural recipe is great for weight control as well as for dogs with food intolerances or allergies. Also try our range of single ingredient treats and functional chews.
Grain Free
Our raw dog food, treats and functional chews are all grain free, soy free, corn free and wheat free.
Non-GMO
All of our products are non-GMO and also contain no hormones and antibiotics.
Hypoallergenic
Huntaway products are made from novel proteins, such as Venison and Goat, which are regarded as hypoallergenic and are great for dogs with allergies.
Naturally Sourced Ingredients
Our raw dog food, jerky and functional chews are sourced mostly from wild venison and contain no artificial preservatives or colors.
How hard are the Wild Venison Jerky Treats?
Though the jerky is surprisingly soft, it can still easily be broken into smaller bits.
How are Huntaway products sustainable?
Through thoughtful harvesting of wild deer, an invasive species in New Zealand, there are no conventional farming impacts on the environment with regards to land-use, carbon and waterway pollution.
What if my dog has food allergies or intolerances?
Food allergies are often linked to protein sources, such as chicken, turkey and beef, which are common in many dog treats.
If your dog is struggling with a food allergy or sensitivity, then wild venison may be a great alternative protein to try.
Is the Huntaway supply chain sustainable?
We ship by sea from New Zealand to the USA, which has proportionately lower carbon emissions than by air. In pursuit of making our products more sustainable, we are developing a carbon footprint profile for our products and supply chain.
Why are Huntaway Wild Venison Jerky Treats healthy for my dog?
The treats are simply wild venison that is air-dried without any GMO, hormones or antibiotics. They also contain no grain, wheat, soy or corn.
The Huntaway Story
Founded in 2020 by Cam Mathias, Huntaway was born out of a desire to make raw feeding a nutritious, convenient and sustainable choice. In early 2020, Cam started to develop and test samples, working with others to compare notes and research what else was in the market.
With focus on industry standards, such as AAFCO, BARF, PM, and after many tests, Cam landed on the ideal recipe and Huntaway was born. Huntaway Dog Food is based on wild venison and with supplementary ingredients to provide needed vitamins and minerals.
Where we are now
Now fed and loved by dog families all across the USA, Huntaway provides an excellent, sustainable source of nutritious and delicious venison — a novel protein that many dog owners find beneficial for their dog’s health. Huntaway’s product range has now extended to various jerky, treats, and functional chews. With our raw dog food headlining the signature range, Huntaway now has a digestion range, hip and joint range, and skin and coat range.
