Our companions give us unconditional love each day, and one way to return the love is through food. They deserve the same standard of quality that we would demand ourselves, and as a result, we produce cat and dog food with a focus on HQS (High Quality Sourced) ingredients.
Almo Nature is owned entirely by Fondazione Capellino (the Capellino Foundation), a non-profit organization that works to protect biodiversity and fight against climate change.
To achieve this mission, the Foundation created a business model called “Reintegration Economy,” which stipulates that 100% of a company’s revenue (after expenses and taxes) is allocated to serve the common good.
Fondazione Capellino’s Areas of Intervention
As part of its business model, Fondazione Capellino carries out projects for the common good aimed at safeguarding biodiversity and combating climate change. The projects are organized into six Areas of Intervention.
Areas of Intervention
Preservation and restoration of natural habitats – Supports activities aimed at stopping to the destruction of land and marine habitats and restoring an equitable territorial distribution between humans and nature.
Climate change and global warming – Trees are our biggest allies in the fight against climate change. We are developing three urban tree planting projects in different European countries.
Areas of Intervention
Regenerative agriculture – Focuses on developing agricultural methods to regenerate the planet’s natural resources.
Impact of human activities on biodiversity – Working with experts to develop a new way of measuring the biodiversity footprint of human activities that help shape business models and individual behavior.

Promoting Reintegration Economy – Spreading the word about the Reintegration Economy model.
Landscape and historic buildings restoration – Restoration and renovation of buildings on land in the village of San Salvatore Monferrato, Italy. The finished project will host the headquarters of Fondazione Capellino and an experimental agricultural site.

HQS recipes contain meat and fish that was originally fit for human consumption and repurposed for pet food. Highly digestible for maximum absorption of nutrients for energy. All HQS recipes contain meat or fish as the first ingredient, rather than water, like many of our competitors.
