Harbor’s works best on porous surfaces. Check the surface to be treated for colorfastness and staining before applying by testing in a hidden area.

For best results, you need to apply 3 times per day for 7 days and then apply as needed. If you apply the Bitter No Chew only once or twice and expect immediate and conclusive results, you may be disappointed. Also, some materials take several applications to build up enough scent to deter dogs (non-porous surfaces can take longer).

The dog will visit the object where the Bitter No Chew Spray was applied, discover that chewing is extremely unpleasant, and leave. It may take several visits for the dog to learn it does not like to chew on the object.
