What To Expect When Training Your Cats With The Shoo Cat
Cats do have minds of their own and they are very smart by nature. The pulsating frequency emitted by the Shoo Cat is new to your cat. Don’t be surprised if your cat walks right up to the Shoo Cat to sniff it or play with it, or if your cat pretends not to notice it alltogether. Your cat is trying to learn what this new sound is.
Don’t expect immediate results when you begin training your cat with the Shoo Cat. It can take 14 days or more for your cat to discover that the sound is coming from the Shoo Cat and that they are creating the sound by approaching it. Unless your cat is hearing impaired or has ears that hear in another frequency (such as Maine Coon breeds), they can hear it and will learn to avoid it.

Step One
Remove the power port option of choice with a Philips screwdriver. Insert a 9 Volt battery or the 12 Volt Shoo Cat power adaptor (sold separately). Replace the port cover and slide the power switch to the ON position.
Step Two
Press the Power Button on the front of the unit. The Train Light will begin to flash slowly for 45 seconds and then quickly for 15 seconds. Now the Shoo Cat is ready to begin training your cat.
Step Three (Option 1)
Place the Shoo Cat on the floor in front of the object you want your cat to avoid. The Shoo Cat can be used in front of plants, furniture, narrow doorways or Christmas trees. The motion sensor detects movement from up to 18 feet away in a 180 degree radius.
Step Three (Option 2)
Place the Shoo Cat on your kitchen counter top, on your couch or your office desk to keep your cats off. The Shoo Cat will protect the area allowing your cats to pass below undetected.
